The Pacific Seacraft 40 is a very traditional style bluewater cruising yacht that was designed by Bill Crealock, a naval architect. Its design is extremely good with a beautifully crafted interior and excellent safety and operational features.

The hull has a fin keel and an overall length of 42'2". The yacht's waterline depth is 31'3"; Beam is 12'5" and its hull is 6'1"high. The overall weight of the Pacific Seacraft 40 is 24,000 pounds. It is a mono-hull type yacht and its rig is the Bermudan cutter type.

The yacht has 7 births and the cabin area is nicely styled with no shortage of space. The steps that lead below deck are steep but handrails are very well positioned. The rails are plentiful around the yacht making it safe, they are also made of teak and look very nice. The interior of the boat has been styled traditionally with teak.

Access to the engine is perfect for work on in harbor and is accessible via the cockpit when the yacht is at sea. The engine is a 51 horse-power Yanmar 4JH2E and the yacht can take up to 256 gallons of fuel.

The yacht has a forespar mast with twin straight spreaders with fore and aft lowers taken to the side of the decks, as well as intermediate and cap shrouds taken to the toe-rail. The standard rigging wire is steel and 1X19mm in size. The forespar boom is supported by a rigid vang that is cutter-rigged with Harken furling head-sails and runners for downwind use.

All in all this is a very well designed yacht by Bill Crealonk. Everything is very well implemented and it is perfect for long distance cruising. It is comfortable and its design makes navigation comfortable with everything to hand. The yacht is traditional in style, rather than the trendy styling of modern yachts so it might not be to everyone's taste. But for sheer practicality it is hard to beat.
