Queen Charlotte Islands are part of British Columbia and are well-known for their natural beauty. The 1800 plus islands in the archipelago provide visitors with a range of terrains from snow-capped mountain peaks, sandy beaches and forests floors rich with unusual flora and fauna. The village also offers access to the Delkatla Wildlife Sanctuary and Naikon Provincial Park which are a must see for wildlife and bird watching enthusiasts.

Anyone with an interest in art and the history and culture in the islands should visit Old Masset Village. The locals work in front of their houses, carving totem poles that reflect the story of their ancestors and history. Visitors can browse and watch these skilled workers carve out their totem poles and canoes for fishing. The art gallery is famous for its local pieces produced by local artists.

Tiell is the smallest village or community on Graham Island, but boast the best beaches for finding driftwood and seashells. Apart from a coffee shop and a general store there are no other buildings in the village. However, Tiell does boast a camp site for anyone wanting to sample the lifestyle.

The alternative accommodation center from Graham Island is the smaller Moresby Island which is and always has been a major logging region. The community is mainly based in Sandspit Village. The airport with connecting flights to and from Canada is situated in Sandspit village. The village also boast a motel, bed and breakfast and holiday homes for rent.

Although Haida Gwaii does not offer five star accommodation and many luxuries of home, it does offer clean, comfortable affordable options. The service is excellent and the friendly staff work hard to give visitors the opportunity to experience the island lifestyle first hand. Visitors can be sure that they will have a memorable experience that is unique and a vacation they will never forget.
