Tanzania Safari Packages Offer Unique Experience

Tanzania is definitely a top wildlife destination. Most Tanzania safari packages include at least one of their three safari circuits. Northern circuit includes the Serengeti National park and Ngorongoro crater. This circuit offers one of the best classical safaris in Africa, especially if it is timed with the annual migration of wild animals.

Serengeti National park is simply amazing place, declared as the essential part of the world heritage, and under direct protection of Unesco. You can visit this great place in any time of the year, but if you want to see one spectacular wildebeest migration, you should come between late January and August.

Once real active volcano, Ngorongoro crater hosts numerous amazing animals, including hypos, zebras, cheetah and elephants, to name only some. In conservation area it is possible to see giraffes as well. The black rhino can also be seen here, and he cannot be seen in some other parks.

Tree climbing lions are one of the most popular attractions in Lake Manyara National park. Large groups of wildebeests, zebras, buffalo and other animals live on these grassy plains. The place called hypo pool is home to numerous hypos, and you will have one rare opportunity to see them up close. All kinds of beautiful water birds are gathering by the lake, and you can often see beautiful flamingos there as well.

National park Tarangire offers long, exciting tours to give you an opportunity to see zebras, gazelles, lions, elephants and other interesting animals. Very rare fringe-eared Oryx also lives here, and can be seen occasionally. Another great thing you can see there are enormous pythons hanging from the trees. Dry season is the best time for visit.

Selous Game Reserve is a great place to see large groups of giraffes, alongside impalas and zebras. These waterholes attract all kinds of wild animals, and lions see this as a great opportunity for catching something for their lunch. Dry season is the best time to come here, especially if you are interested for game viewing, although all other periods of year could be equally interesting.

Ruaha National Reserve is a home for most safari animals, except for rhinos. You can see exceptionally large lion prides here, as well as their famous wild dog packs. If these wild dogs are your primary interest, you should come here during their mating season, from June to August. Rainy periods should be avoided, for obvious reasons.

If you enjoy watching primates in their natural habitat, you should definitely visit Gombe National Reserve. This area is really popular thanks to numerous chimps living here. There are some other primates here, including monkeys. The place can be visited through all seasons, but it is still more interesting to come during dry season.

Katuma river crowded with hypos and crocodiles and really nice lakes called Katavi and Chada wait for your visit in Katavi National park. It is possible to observe sable antelopes here, as well as other amazing creatures. This includes lions and elephants, always interesting to all visitors.
