Most women will enter the phase between the ages of 40 and 60. During this age, some of the normal experiences that might be confused with age related turmoil include death of a spouse, need for more money, challenges at work or even the loss of employment. The unstable period lasts 2-5 years.

Men on the other hand are likely to get sporty and even buy expensive sport cars. Everything becomes emotionally driven.

The feeling that life is declining dramatically causes panic. One begins to search for undefined goals or dreams that she might have abandoned in childhood or in his youth. The goals that have not been achieved make one to feel remorseful. A woman will fear humiliation by colleagues who are more successful. One wants to still feel like a youth despite advancement in years.

A lady desires to be alone most of the time or be with specific friends. The negative effect would be turning to drugs or alcohol. Women will turn to acquisition of expensive jewelry, clothes, gadgets and other lifestyle materials. They turn to tattoos and body piercing. Remorse sets in for minor wrongs.
